On Cloudmonster – On's biggest clouds for everyday wear
The first Cloudmonster was a running shoe with exceptionally large CloudTec® elements. On brought the same idea to its everyday models: the soft, springy sole stays, while the upper and details are tuned for city outfits.
Which version should you choose?
- Cloudmonster 1 – the Cloudmonster redesigned for everyday style: CloudTec®, Helion™ foam, a Speedboard® plate, hidden lace eyelets and a rubber outsole. 8 mm drop, approx. 278 g.
- Cloudmonster 1 Waterproof – the same construction with a waterproof upper and better grip. 6 mm drop, approx. 348 g.
- Cloudmonster Void – the original Cloudmonster sole with a new, lighter technical mesh upper and a discreet logo. 6 mm drop, approx. 289 g.
Weights are for the men's shoe; data according to On. Our range also includes the last pairs of the first-generation Cloudmonster.
Sizing
On shoes fit like Nike and New Balance – choose the same size. In larger sizes, compare the insole length (CM tab) with the shoes you wear.
FAQ
Do On shoes need breaking in?
No. In our experience, On shoes fit right from the start and you can wear them all day.
Is the Cloudmonster soft?
Yes, it is one of On's most cushioned shoes: big CloudTec® clouds and Helion™ foam soften every landing.
Cloudmonster 1 or Void?
Both versions are for everyday wear. The Cloudmonster 1 has a seamless upper with hidden eyelets. The Void keeps the sole of the original model and has a technical mesh with overlays.
Can you run in the Cloudmonster?
In our experience: for everyday wear, the gym, the treadmill and short warm-up runs (5–15 minutes) – absolutely. For regular, longer sessions, choose the running Cloudmonster.
