Insoles are the cheapest way to improve comfort in a shoe that otherwise fits well. They alter the level of cushioning, fill any excess space and help keep the inside of the shoe fresh for longer. We stock Blundstone insoles – including wool and ‘comfort’ varieties – as well as Crep Protect cushioning insoles designed for sneakers.

When should you replace it?

The factory-fitted insole wears out faster than the sole – after a few months, it loses its springiness and stops providing cushioning, even though the shoe still looks fine. A tell-tale sign is a distinct indentation left by your foot on the surface and a feeling that it’s becoming stiffer. Replacing the insole with a new one can restore a level of comfort comparable to that of a new pair.

Wool, foam, gel

Blundstone wool insoles provide insulation and moisture management – they are ideal for winter and work boots. Foam offers all-round cushioning and is the lightest option. Gel insoles and those with a shock-absorbing layer, such as Crep Protect Impact, are designed for boots worn all day on hard surfaces.

Size guide

Some replacement insoles cover a range of sizes and can be trimmed along marked lines. Where the instructions allow, use the original insole as a template. Check thickness and available space inside the shoe, since an insole can change its fit.
