Cloudnova is the On family made to be worn from morning to evening: to work, around town and on your travels. On brought technology from its running shoes into it, and chose the shape and colours to suit everyday outfits. In our range you will find classic white and black as well as light, pastel combinations.
Which Cloudnova should you choose?
- Cloudnova 2 – the sportiest silhouette. Zero-Gravity foam, a Speedboard® plate joined to the heel clip and a stable heel cushion. The mesh upper is inspired by the Cloudboom Echo 3 running shoe. 14 mm drop, approx. 315 g.
- Cloudnova Form 2 – lower and slimmer. A soft, semi-transparent and very breathable upper, Zero-Gravity foam and a nylon-blend Speedboard®. 14 mm drop, approx. 314 g. This group also includes the Form 2 TT colours.
- Cloudnova X – the training version, for the gym and the city. An X-shaped Speedboard®, full-length CloudTec® and dual-density Helion™ foam. 15 mm drop, approx. 316 g.
Weights are for the men's shoe; all data according to On.
Sizing
On shoes fit like Nike and New Balance – choose the same size. In larger sizes, compare the insole length (CM tab) with the shoes you wear.
FAQ
Do On shoes need breaking in?
No. In our experience, On shoes fit right from the start and you can wear them all day.
What is the difference between the Cloudnova 2 and the Cloudnova Form 2?
Both have Zero-Gravity foam, a Speedboard® plate and a 14 mm drop. The Form 2 is lower and slimmer, with a semi-transparent, very breathable upper. The Cloudnova 2 looks sportier and has a stable heel cushion.
Can you run in the Cloudnova?
In our experience: for everyday wear, the gym, the treadmill and short warm-up runs (5–15 minutes) – absolutely. For regular, longer running sessions, choose a dedicated running shoe. The Cloudnova X is designed for gym training.
Is the Cloudnova comfortable all day?
Yes, that is its main job. The high 14 mm drop and soft foam give a smooth, slightly springy step, and the improved opening makes the shoe easier to put on.
