Our eyewear range centres on the French brand Izipizi – a brand that has built its reputation on simple, lightweight frames in a wide range of colours and at an affordable price. Here you’ll find sunglasses for adults as well as a separate children’s range, in sizes tailored to their age.

Izipizi – what sets them apart

The frames are flexible and very lightweight, with no traditional metal hinges, so they can easily withstand being tossed into a bag. The brand offers several shapes – from round to rectangular – in a consistent colour palette, making it easy to match a pair to the rest of your outfit. All models feature UV400 protection.

UV filters and categories

UV400 means that UVA and UVB radiation up to 400 nm is blocked – this is a standard that should be required of all sunglasses. The lens tint category is a separate matter: category 3 is suitable for typical sunshine, whilst category 2 is suitable for variable cloud cover. Dark lenses without a UV filter are worse than wearing no sunglasses at all, as the pupil dilates in the presence of dark lenses.

For children

The Izipizi children’s range features smaller frames, more flexible temples and often a strap to prevent the glasses from falling off. Children’s eyes let through more UV radiation than adults’ eyes, so protection is genuinely important here – it’s not just a matter of comfort. Sizes are selected according to age group.
