A turquoise blue upper and a light sole give this women's version of the Hierro v9 a fresh, mountain character. It is a New Balance off-road running shoe in which cushioning goes hand in hand with grip and foot protection.
The midsole uses Fresh Foam X foam, which cushions every stride, with a softer top layer and a firmer bottom layer that adds stability; around 3% of the foam comes from bio-based materials. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole with Traction Lug technology provides grip on wet and dry ground, and the Toe Protect toe cap shields your toes from rocks and roots. The tongue is joined to the upper at the sides, which helps keep small stones out. The upper is made of breathable mesh and synthetic materials with printed overlays.
