The AJ12 was designed by Tinker Hatfield and debuted in 1996. It was the first shoe in the Jordan signature line with Air Zoom cushioning, and its distinctive stitching lines radiate like the rays of the rising sun.

The French Blue version combines white leather with a navy lower upper, giving an elegant, contrasting look. According to Nike, the premium leather upper of the AJ12 is durable and comfortable, Air Zoom cushioning lets you push off the ground quickly, and a rubber outsole provides grip. There is a pull tab on the heel.
