Kånken was created in 1978 with Swedish schoolchildren in mind and quickly became a common sight at preschools and schools across the country. Today it is just as suited to the trip to school or work as to travelling and trekking. Green is one of the model's classic colours.

The backpack is made of hard-wearing, lightweight Vinylon F that stands up to dirt and wetness. The roomy main compartment has a large zipped opening, there is a zippered pocket on the front and two flat side pockets. The foam pad in the inside pocket keeps the contents from poking your back and comes in handy when you need to sit down.
