Dark brown Dr. Martens 1460 Grizzly warm-lined boots – WarmWair lining and a clear BEN sole
This is the winter version of the 8-eye 1460: it has a stiffer upper and a reinforced interior built for bad weather. Heavy Grizzly leather in dark brown looks rugged, as if it were already slightly worn in. Inside there is a warm, brushed WarmWair knit, and a padded collar sits at the ankle. Dark brown goes well with winter jackets, corduroy and chunky wool.

Size and fit
- Dr. Martens makes whole sizes only. If you are usually a half size, the brand recommends sizing down – a larger size makes the boot longer, not wider.
- The warm knit lining takes up some room inside, so do not add a thick insole to this style. Over time Grizzly leather stretches in width, not in length.
- When choosing a size you can switch the size chart from EU to US or centimetres.
Care
Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth and, once dry, apply Wonder Balsam. Remove road salt straight away, before it dries on the leather.
Frequently asked questions
Are lined 1460 Grizzly boots good for winter?
Yes. Inside there is a warm WarmWair knit, the collar is padded and the BEN sole has a deeper tread. In very hard frost, wear warmer socks with them.
Do Dr. Martens 1460 Grizzly boots need breaking in?
A little. The upper of this winter version is stiffer, so wear them for shorter periods for the first few days. Over time the leather stretches in width and shapes to your foot.
What is Grizzly leather?
It is a heavy natural leather with a rugged look – it seems slightly worn in from day one. The upper is 100% leather.
What size should I choose?
The same as in other leather shoes. Dr. Martens does not make half sizes – if you are in between, the brand recommends the smaller size, because a larger boot is only longer.
